To localize Fanorona (create a translation for your language), you
need to:

 * Extract the tarfile.

 * Find the ISO-639 code for your translation (for example, "ru" for
   Russian).  If you're already using a localized GNOME, you can
   probably just do "echo $LC_ALL".  For the rest of this file, I'm
   going to assume your ISO code is "XX".

 * Edit the top-level Makefile; change the line that sets ALL_LINGUAS
   to include "XX".  (ALL_LINGUAS should be whitespace-separated, not
   comma-separated.)

 * If you have previously done a build in this directory, run "make
   distclean".

 * In the top-level directory, run "make".

 * In gnome/po, copy fanorona.pot to XX.po.

 * Edit each "msgstr" line to give the translated version of the
   "msgid" line.

 * Run "make install".  Your XX.po file will be compiled into XX.gmo,
   which will be installed as
   /usr/share/locale/XX/LC_MESSAGES/fanorona.mo, where Fanorona will
   be able to find it.

 * Please send me a copy of XX.po, so that I can make XX available to
   all Fanorona users.  (You don't have to do this if you don't want
   to, of course.  Note, though, that XX.po will be covered under the
   GPL: since fanorona.pot is derived automatically from the
   GPL-covered C source files, fanorona.pot is GPLed; since XX.po is
   derived from fanorona.pot, XX.po is GPLed.  So, if you distribute
   XX.gmo, you have to include XX.po.  I think.)

The FLTK implementation is not internationalized at this time.
