Notes on technique: AoA scroll for Elsa von Thüringen

These notes are sparse because they are reconstructed from memory.

Size: 9x12, with 2" borders. The paper is Aquarelle Arches, 140 lb hot press, acid-free.

Scribe:

François Thibault, January XXXIV.  My eighth scroll.

Calligraphy:

Hand: French Batarde (Drogin).  0.75 mm Brause nib (not sure how big for the initial capital; probably 2).
Line spacing: unknown.
Ink: W&N Black Indian Ink.

Illumination

Paints: W&N Gouaches. I do not recall the actual colors used in this case.
Gold leaf: 23 3/4 K XX deep gold, a patent leaf from Italy. Unfortunately, it did not scan very well.
