Based on the floral borders of the Isabella Breviary (made in the Netherlands, about 1497, for Queen Isabella of Castille). Similar in origin to An Afternoon in the Palace, which was based on elements from the same book; but done especially for my store. Since I was doing it for a picture frame, I toned it down a bit so it wouldn't compete with the picture you put inside it. My borders in the style in the Isabella Breviary are usually very busy and very bold; this one is a little calmer and a little paler.

The picture to the left has a picture of my daughter pasted in, to approximate how I think pictures will look in the picture frame. Note that the copyright notice is more prominent on this image than on the actual product; at lower resolution, I had to make it larger in order for the word "copyright" to be visible.

Drawn by hand; colored on computer. I intend to paint it in by hand, but I wanted to experiment on the computer to find good colors, and, once that was done, I had a usable image. It'll be better when I do it by hand, but I wanted to put it up now.
