A knight greeting his lady before entering the tournament to fight for her honor.
Taken from a scroll which I created in May 2001. This scene is based on a scene in Le Livre du Cuers d'Amours Espris (The Book of Heart Seized by Love), a manual on how to hold a tournament, written by King René d'Anjou, around 1465. The scroll was made for a tournament, and was given to the lady of the knight who won the tournament in her honor.
The text on the back of the golf shirt is in the Isabella font I created, based on the calligraphic hand used in the Isabella Breviary, made around 1497 for Queen Isabella of Spain. The font is available for download.
